Employment Requirements

  • Education

    A minimum university bachelor degree is required to teach English in China.

  • TEFL Certification

    TEFL Certification is required. A minimum of 120-hour TEFL certification is recommended.

  • Citizenship Requirements

    Employers have a strong preference for citizens of USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa. Citizens of other countries who have fluent English, satisfy the educational requirements and hold a TEFL certification may also be able to find job opportunities.
